Tell us about this photo.
This is a funny picture. I am standing in one of our sheds, holding a homeowner’s version of a pecan picker (harvester). We rent them out for people who have only one or two trees to get their pecans harvested without bending over. We have a small orchard.
How have you been employed?
I’m retired from the computer department at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (state employee). I also am or have been: a pet cemetery manager, cattle rancher, and pecan picker/cracker (I’m a Jackie of most trades.)
Do you have a wish for Milton?
I wish it stays a humble and quaint town. There aren’t enough Mayberry towns anymore. Towns turn into big cities. Then everyone forgets where they come from~
